| All brass construction mounted on a fruitwood base. Brass encased lead weights of one, two and four pounds. The disc on top of the "A" frame gives the size limitations for parcels. The pan gives postage rates for both parcels and letters for the period 1883 - 1886, thus dating the scale to that period. No maker's name or mark is evident, but the style and construction techniques are those of S. Mordan, London. Condition: XFine. |
