On the last Saturday in September, timed to coincide with a rained out Renningers Kutztown Antique and Flea Market Extravaganza Weekend, eleven scale-obsessed souls convened at the Katz's home near Downingtown, PA, for a gathering of scale talk, attempts to fix the government, great food and fellowship.

Representing Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York and Minnesota were attendees Kathy and Steve Barnett, Steve Beare, Ann and Kurt Beyreis, Les Firth, Arline and Bill Jacobson, Bob Jibben and hosts Mary and Jerry Katz.

Despite the rain, several attendees were able to pick up great scales at the Katz's indoor booth at Adamstown, so collections were further enhanced and pocketbooks made thinner during the weekend, which is the continuing goal of any collector.
