German coin scale and weight box, 1805. The box is 18.5 cm long x 10.3 cm wide x 2 cm high, and the steel beam is 14.8 cm long with 4.1 cm diameter brass pans. The box has 22 of 22 weights. The box label is printed: "Diese geächte Waag und Gewicht macht von Ihro Churfürstl. Durchl. zu Pfalz-Bayern gnädigst privilegirter und geschworner". The weights are stamped with coin names and a little horse from the arms of Palatmat. The maker is Johann Caspar Mittelstenscheid, identified by Houben. Reference: Dieudonne.
