12^th Annual Michigan Scale Collectors Get-Together

Twenty-two avid scale collectors from as far east as Delaware and as far west as Illinois got together at the home of Bev and Greg Moss in Waterford, Michigan, on August 22, 2009.  As usual a good time was had by all on this sunny Saturday afternoon.  The day was filled with good fellowship, good food and lots of scale talk.

Dian Laycock and Ken Beare were the winners of a “Find the Scale” scavenger hunt.  Greg had prepared a list of all his scales (50 some odd) on display at the Moss home and each person was given the task of locating them. Ken and Dian actually found two that were not on the list to win first place and received the grand prize, “Mr. Zucchini Head”.

Sharing of scales and a little trading took place as eager attendees went from van to van in search of new and inter-esting scales.
